Crazyboy Skins The Boyracer

Tonight I met Crazyboy and the Boyracer for a run. It’s been a while, what with Crazyboy’s injuries and the Boyracer’s PGCE study. Crazyboy set the route tonight as we were running from his house. I think he also wanted to set the route so that me and the Boyracer didn’t know where we were going, and thus, we couldn’t run off and leave him behind! It’s always hard coming back from injury and he did really well over the five miles, especially as he picked a pretty hilly route. Best of all though, he had no pain in his leg… the Crazyboy is back!

It was good to run with the guys again and nice to run somewhere new. As (some things never change) Crazyboy was late (to his own house no less!) having missed the train, I got to spend some time chatting with Mrs Crazyboy, and even managed a wee cuddle with the very cute Baby Crazyboy

The Boyracer is now signed up to be a support runner for my jaunt on the West Highland Way, which given his speed, could be dangerous… he’s already discussed a sub six minute final mile on the way into Fort William. I’m not sure he quite understands the fact I’ll already have run/walked/crawled 94 miles by that point!

I gave in today and jumped on the Skins bandwagon. I’ve been struggling a little with tight hamstrings and groin muscles and decided something had to be done! I considered sports physio/massage but that hurts, so I headed to Achilles Heel to have a look… and bought some Skins half tights. That was all I bought though which shows great resolve in my book! If you believe the Skins press, I will now be injury free, will recover better, run faster, be better looking, and more intelligent!

Finally, I hope nobody went off in search of the Drymen News web site yesterday after my post. I didn’t think anyone would think the article was for real, but (in her defence, a very tired) Mrs pacepusher did feel the need to confirm with me that I had made it all up! I thought the expected turn out of ‘twelve people and a dog’ gave it away!

In my defence I could not quite believe anyone, even you, would waste time making up a story like that and photo-shopping a photo to have blue lines! You obviously have too much time on your hands during the day – there is plenty of housework that could be done while I am working!
